New Delhi: The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Wednesday said that India registered 14,256 fresh cases of coronavirus which pushed the total tally to 1,06,39,684 in the nation. The active cases now stand at 1,85,662. With 17,130 new recoveries, as far as 10,300,838 patients recovered, and with 163 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 1,53,184, as per Union Health Ministry.

As far as 13,90,592 vaccinated in the entire nation for COVID-19 disease, informed the ministry.

As per the Indian were Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 19,09,85,119 samples were tested for COVID-19 up to 22 January, of which 8,37,095 samples were tested yesterday.

As per Union Health and Welfare Ministry, the infection (Active) rate is 1.78 percent, the recovery rate has reached 96.78 percent and the death rate is 1.44 percent.

Meanwhile, the Government of Karnataka has said that the staff members at all airports in the state are considered frontline workers of COVID-19 and permitted for the vaccine on a priority basis.

India has begun the COVID-19 vaccination distribution outside the nation. Union Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Tweeted, “Trust the Pharmacy of the World. Made in India vaccines arrive in Brazil. #VaccineMaitri.”

Also, President of Brazil, Jair M Bolsonaro tweeted, Namaskar, “Prime Minister @narendramodi. Brazil feels honored to have a great partner to overcome a global obstacle by joining efforts. Thank you for assisting us with the vaccine exports from India to Brazil. Dhanyavaad!”

PM Narendra Modi also responded to him. He tweeted, “The honor is ours, President @jairbolsonaro, to be a trusted partner of Brazil in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic together. We will continue to strengthen our cooperation on healthcare.”
