All private offices in Delhi will follow the practice of Work-From-Home, as per the new order released by Delhi Disaster Management Authority. Only offices that fall under the “ Exempted Category” shall continue to work from the office.
The previous order from DDMA had said the private offices to operate in hybrid mode, fifty per cent of employees were supposed to work from home, and the rest fifty per cent would come to the office. The Government offices in the city were also running at 50 per cent capacity.
As per the new guidelines, bars and restaurants shall also remain closed, but restaurants are allowed to take orders for home delivery and take away.
Further, as far as transportation is concerned, Delhi metro, DTC and cluster buses will run at 100 per cent capacity, with no person allowed in standing.
People who are travelling to attend a marriage, wherein only gathering up to 20 people are allowed, shall be permitted to move only on the production of soft copy or hard copy of the marriage card.
Electronic and print media personnel can move, but they must have a valid ID card.
Private banks, offices offering essential services, insurance firms, pharmaceutical companies, microfinance organisations, lawyers’ offices, and courier services are all protected from the new rule.

A total of 19,166 cases were recorded in the national capital on Monday, comparatively lower than 22,751 cases reported a day ago, partially due to the drop in testing– from nearly 1 lakh to just over 76,000. Also, on Monday, one in four persons tested Covid positive in Delhi.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said the case tally is likely to reach its peak “in one or two days, definitely this week”, and infections in the Third Wave may start declining from there.
“The peak has already arrived or will come in a day or two. It (peak) will happen this week. Cases should start falling after that. But it’s possible we may enforce another curfew, just to remind people not to lower their guard,” Mr Jain told NDTV on Monday.
Delhi currently has 65,803 active cases, of which 44,028 are in home isolation. The positivity rate at present stands at 25 per cent.
