After being denied permission to attend the C-40 summit in Denmark, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address the meeting through video-conferencing.

On a previous day, Ministry of External Affairs had denied permission to the AAP leader voicing the political considerations. Delhi Chief Minister was expected to speak at the C-40 Summit on his government’s efforts in lowering air pollution in the city. Over his tenure, the Delhi government has been successful in reducing the pollution by 25 percent. He was set to lead a team of 8 members and address a session titled “Breathe deeply“. C-40 summit will take place between October 9 and 12.

The non-clearance of the AAP leader’s visit has put the Delhi government and Union at loggerheads. The tension increased furthermore when  West Bengal Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim was granted permission for the same event by MEA.
