Delhi High court rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in INX Media corruption case. Justice Sunil Gaur was hearing the case and he dismissed both the petitions (in CBI and ED case) today. The Judge had reserved his order on January 25.

In 2007, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered an FIR against alleging Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram gave wrongful clearances to INX media. It was told that INX media was tuned of Rs. 305 crore by the ign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).

On the validity of the lodged FIR, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) then filed a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case against P Chidambaram. His son Karti Chidambaram has also been named in the case.

Earlier on Monday, P Chidambaram has been summoned in aviation scandal related to the irregularities in the civil aviation sector. Enforcement Directorate has summoned the leader and told him to report to the investigative agency on August 23.
