Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had a face-off with death when his chopper crash landed in Latur earlier this morning. He was traveling with some other senior officials of the government.
The accident took place on Thursday morning at 11:59am. Fadnavis was touring rural areas of the state to inspect the development projects. Minutes before the crash, he had left Latur for Mumbai with the officials. According to eye witnesses, hardly after a minute of taking off, the helicopter came crashing down after developing some defect. It was hardly 50 feet in air, otherwise, the results could be worse.
Devendra Fadnavis announced the safety of him and his team via twitter with the following tweet
Our helicopter did meet with an accident in Latur but me and my team is absolutely safe and ok.
