राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने गांधीनगर से आयुष्मान भव अभियान का किया शुभारंभ

The President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated ‘National e-Vidhan Application’ (NeVA) and addressed the Gujarat Legislative Assembly at Gandhinagar on Wednesday.

The President noted that since Gujarat state was established in 1960, the Gujarat Legislative Assembly has consistently acted in the public’s best interests and has implemented several commendable initiatives over the years.

She also emphasized that today’s launch of the E-Assembly marks a significant milestone in transitioning the Assembly into a digitally-oriented institution. The President also highlighted that through the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), members of the Assembly can now access and adopt the best practices observed in the Parliament and other Legislative Assemblies across the nation.

She expressed confidence that this initiative, inspired by the goal of “one nation one application”, would bring more speed and transparency in the functioning of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and the entire process of the House being paperless would also protect the environment.

Addressing the issue of women’s representation in the House, the President remarked that in a time when women are excelling in various domains such as science, technology, defense, and sports, their presence in the realm of politics should see a corresponding increase. She pointed out that during her visits to educational institutions across the nation, she observed that girls have strong aspirations to progress in life and make meaningful contributions to the country and society.

Furthermore, she emphasized that if women are provided with the right opportunities, they can actively contribute to nation-building alongside their male counterparts. The President underscored the significance of the participation of half of the population in the overall development of the country.

The President said that technology is an important means to make people’s lives easier and E-Vidhan would further help MLAs in staying connected with the people. She wished that while maintaining parliamentary decorum and dignity, they would set a new standard for discussing public welfare in this House. She emphasized that their efforts would be important not only in making Gujarat a more prosperous state but also in making India a fully developed nation by the year 2047.
