At this time, when global warming is increasing day by day and non-renewable resources are vanishing, companies like NTPC and PowerGrid is taking measurable steps to lower down their usages.
The state-run power company, NTPC on Saturday has launched charging stations for electric vehicles in Delhi and Noida. They will continue to expand these stations in other locations across India. NTPC has taken this step to promote “Clean Energy Transportation” in India. PowerGrid is supporting this mission too.
This is in accordance with the mission initiated by Power Minister in April. He said that “We are going to introduce electric vehicles in a very big way. We are going to make electric vehicles self-sufficient like Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA). The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country”.
Our government is taking several measures to promote and increase the usage of Electric Vehicles(EVs). We should support and help them to achieve this mission.
