22 states have removed their check posts. It is believed that will help in a faster movement of the trucks and will reduce losses which were incurred due to long waitings at the check posts. This will sure expedite the functioning of GST. Other than these states, 8 states including Assam have still not removed their check posts.

Earlier it used to take a lot of time for trucks to get approval from the check posts which would ultimately result in delayed delivery of good and effected economy negatively. Due to fake reports and manipulated media posts, officials are facing a lot of problems which is making their task more complicated. Furthermore, they are facing the problems with bill process.

A meeting, led by Cabinet secretary PK Sinha, attended by Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia and senior officials of CBEC was held on Sunday. In this meeting, all the officials took a responsibility of reaching out the benefits of GST to all the customers. They are even keeping a check on the price of essential commodities so that they do not have to face the situation of inflation.

All the officials are ready to face the problems that will arise during the implementation of GST in the country.
