In a bid to impress the voters with heavy promises ahead of assembly polls in Haryana, Congress party is set to release its manifesto on October 11 at the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Chandigarh.

As quoted by ANI, a source close to the agency said, “Eight major declarations will be announced in the manifesto, in which waiving of debt of farmers in Haryana, will be in the top rundown. The debt will be waived off within 24 hours“.

It can be expected that the manifesto will be leaning towards the cause farmer’s welfare and increasing employment opportunities. Recently, HPCC chief Kumari Selja had also announced to waive off farmer’s loan if her party comes into power.

According to the information revealed by the confidential source, Congress party’s manifesto is likely to have the following procedures-

  • Pension for senior citizens will be given up to Rs. 5100
  • Free rides for women in the state-run buses for all days.
  • The GST process will be made easier for small businessmen and vendors.

It is also speculated that the party’s Haryana in-charge, Ghulam Nabi Azad will also be present at the release of the manifesto. Haryana state will go to polls for its 90 assembly seat on October 21. Votes will be counted on October 24.

Previously on Monday, Congress-NCP alliance had also released its manifesto for the forthcoming Maharashtra polls.
