The Haryana Cabinet-led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday approved to set up a sports University in the State at Rai, Sports Minister Anil Vij on told media.
Speaking to ANI, Vij added, ‘Haryana cabinet approves setting up of Haryana Sports University at Rai, Sonepat. The University will have powers to conduct academic and training programmes in physical education and sports sciences’.
Further talking about the University, Sports Minister Anil Vij said that new University will have the power to conduct academic and training programmes in Physical Education and Sport Sciences.
It will have the option of sports technology, sports medicine, sports management, sports infrastructure engineering, sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports journalism and sports marketing,” he added.
