Earlier, the National Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognizance of media reports about the death of four accused in Telangana rape and murder case in a police encounter and sent its investigation team on the spot.

The Commission expressed its view that there is lack of ‘Standard Operating Procedure’ to immediately respond to the panic situations by the police authorities.
Hyderabad Police on Friday stated that all the four accused in 26-year-old veterinary surgeon’s rape and murder case have been shot dead.
