Gearing up for the Lok Sabha Polls which are now days away, the Indian National Congress on Thursday released its another list of 12 Candidate for the mega battle of ballots. The Rahul Gandhi-led party in the list named all six candidates from Bharatiya Janata party stronghold Madhya Pradesh.

The party in the list named Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath’s Son Nakul from party’s stronghold Chhindwara Parliamentary Seat. Kamal Nath has held the Chhindwara Seat 10 times since 1980.

The Congress Central Election Committee has selected following candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

  1. Prabhanshu Thakur from Sagar
  2. Pratap Singh Lodhi frim Damoh
  3. Raja Ram Tripathi from  Satna
  4. Siddharth Tiwari from Rewa
  5. Ajay Singh Rahul from Sidhi
  6. Vivek Tankha from Jabalpur
  7. Kamal Maravi from Mandla ST
  8. Nakul Nath from Chhindhwara
  9. Prahlad Tipaniya from Dewas SC
  10. Babulal Malviya from Ujjain SC
  11. Dr Govind Muzaalda from Khargone ST
  12. Arun Yadav from Khandwa Seat

With this list, the party has named 371 Candidates in a run-up the general elections 2019 with a total of 20 in Madhya Pradesh out of 29 seats of the state.

Party in the earlier list in Madhya Pradesh has named Digvijaya Singh from Bhopal, Meenakshi Natrajan from Mandsour, Kanti Lal Bhuria from Ratlam ST, among others.

arty in its first list maintaining the tradition has fielded its President Rahul Gandhi from Amethi, while United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will be on electoral fray from home turf – Rae Bareli.

Apart from this, the Congress President will also contest from Wayanad Lok Sabha Seat in Kerela.

Ruling Bhartiya Janta Party has also started rolling out lists of Candidates with PM Modi seeking re-election from Varanasi Parliamentary Seat, BJP President Amit Shah contesting from Gandhinagar Seat replacing LK Advani.

Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

Lok Sabha Polls are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19.

Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

Voting in 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh will across in 4 phases: April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. In 2014 General elections, amidst heavy Modi wave, BJP swept MP with 27 seats, while Congress manage to bag only 2 seats in the state.
