In wake of the prevailing condition on the border, Congress has postponed the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and rally scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad tomorrow. Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow (February 28) has been postponed.

The meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) – the Congress’ highest decision-making body – which was slated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat on Feb 28 is now postponed. The meeting was scheduled to preside over by Rahul Gandhi, will also be attended by newly-appointed General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, UPA  Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh among others.

Besides the strategies and roadmap for the election battle 2019, the party leaders were slated to discuss and chalk out a draft of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the anti-BJP front of opposition parties.

Apart from the Congress Working Committee meeting, Congress newly appointed Priyanka Gandhi was scheduled to address her First Public Gathering along with UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi had made a last public Speech in Telangana Assembly Elections.

The mega rally was slated to be held at Trimandir Ground, Adalaj, and was supposed to be following the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party’s highest decision-making body, in Ahmedabad on February 28. However, It is Postponed now. The 51st CWC meeting, was just before slated the schedule of general elections is announced, will focus on strategizing and preparing for the Lok Sabha polls 2019.

Priyanka Gandhi had recently held a massive Roadshow on Feb 11 along with Jyotiraditya Scindia and Rahul Gandhi. Scindia was appointed as the Party’s In-Charge to look after the party’s affairs in Uttar Pradesh West.
