With less than 10 days left for the first phase of voting for national elections 2019, the Opposition Indian National Congress on Tuesday releases its poll manifesto for the mega battle of ballots 2019.

The Party’s Manifesto was launched in the mega event at party’s headquarters in the national Capital in the presence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Former PM Manmohan Singh, Former Union Minister P Chidambaram, KC Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala and other party top brasses.

Party manifesto titled ‘Congress will Deliver’ ‘Hum Nibhayengey’ focused on varsity of Issues including LGBT rights, rights for minorities, women empowerment, NYAY scheme, Rafale Probe among Others.

Rahul Gandhi speaking on the launch event of the manifesto said the party’s manifesto is a result of a year-long process. Congress President said the Congress Manifesto is the reflection of people’s aspirations.

Speaking about the party’s flagship promise of NYAY, or the Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme, Gandhi said the NYAY will not only fill the pockets of the poor and but will help in boosting the economy. Hailing his proposed Scheme, Gandhi said, ‘72,000 hazar, Gareebi par vaar’

The NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) or the Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme will be the top agenda of the party in a run-up to the General Elections 2019. The NYAY is the central theme of the party’s Manifesto. Calling it a historic move announced Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme assuring 72,000 annually for India’s poorest families if his party (Congress) voted to power in the General Elections 2019.

Congress in the poll manifesto just like separate railway budget promised to have a separate Agricultural Budget in a move to reach out farmers in the mega battle of ballots.

The Rahul-led Party also announced that non-payment of loans by the farmers will be treated as a civil case and not criminal. Congress also promised to fill all 22 lakh vacant posts by the year 2022.

Giving a big relief to entrepreneurship, Congress President said new businessman trying to set up businesses will not have to ask for permission from anyone. The party in the manifesto also promised to scrap Niti Ayog with a lean Planning Commission.

Congress also promised to increase working days under MNREGA with 100 to 150 days. Speaking in the event, Rahul Gandhi said, PM had spoken about MGNREGA. He mocked and said it is a bogus and useless scheme. Today everyone knows how much it helped the country. So now we want to guarantee jobs for 150 days, instead of 100 days, under the scheme’

Congress party in its election manifesto promises to omit Section 124A of the IPC (that defines the offence of Sedition). Congress party in its election manifesto also promised to amend the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act – AFSPA.

The party who is seeking to make a comeback in the power also promised to increase Education Budget by 6 percent. Party said we will focus not only on creating the jobs but also to protect the existing jobs.

While Speaking in the Event,  Former Union minister P Chidambaram said, “The manifesto focuses on unemployment, farmer’s distress, and women’s security.”

Speaking in the event Gandhi said, ‘When we started this process about a year back, I spoke to Mr. Chidamabaram, Mr. Gowda & gave 2 instructions. I said this is not a manifesto to be made in closed rooms but this should reflect the wishes of the people of India.

He added, ‘I also said that whatever is going to be in this manifesto has to be truthful, I do not want a single thing in this manifesto that is a lie because we have been hearing a large number of lies spoken every day by our PM.
