In order to return the normalcy in the valley region, Jammu and Kashmir administration has withdrawn the security advisory on Thursday. The administration had issued an advisory in August to restrict the stay of tourists.

The issued order read:

The security advisory requesting tourists visiting Kashmir Jammu and Kashmir to curtail their stay in the Kashmir valley issued vide government order No.881-Home of 2019 dated 02.08.2019, is hereby withdrawn. The tourists desirous of undertaking visit to the state shall be provided with all necessary assistance and logistical support.

The state administration had previously urged the Amarnath Yatris to curtail their stay in the Valley “immediately” after the rising terror threats in the region. This escalated the political tension in the Jammu and Kashmir region.

However, on October 7, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik advised state officials to take back the Home Department’s advisory. He had mentioned that the new notification will come into effect from October 10.

Welcoming the administration’s move, the tourism sector has expressed its happiness with the decision. It is expected that now the tourism sector in the region will bloom well in the coming times.

Following the repeal of Article 370, the tourism sector had witnessed sluggish growth from some time. This latest notification by the state administration can be seen as a relief measure to the general populace of the Kashmir.
