After an interesting turn of events in the Haryana polls, Jannayak Janata Party has announced to form an alliance with Bhartiya Janta Party on Friday. JJP leader Dushyant Chautala said that he respects the mandate of Haryana and wants to extend his support to the saffron party’s Manohar Lal Khattar in order to form a stable government.

As per the deal sealed by both the parties, Chief Minister of the Haryana state will be from BJP, which is likely to be Manohar Lal Khattar only as the parliamentary board of BJP  has approved the retention of the leader.

The alliance will meet the state governor Satyadev Narayan Arya today to finalize the formalities of forming the government.

The decisions came off from a meeting between the top-brass leadership of both the parties. The meeting took place at Amit Shah’s residence on Friday night. The meeting also saw the presence of BJP’s working president, Jagat Prakash Nadda.

Home Minister Amit Shah apprised the media that Deputy CM will be from Jannayak Janata Party. JJP emerged as the king-maker in the Haryana polls this year, by bagging 10 seats within its fold. BJP secured 40 seats out of 90 seats, falling short of 6 seats. But now with the extension of JJP’s support and outside support of Independent candidates, the saffron party has gained a comfortable majority in the state.

Under the command of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Congress party managed to come on the second position in the state with winning 31 seats. Indian National Lok Dal was able to secure just one seat, while other smaller regional parties grabbed eight seats.
