Actor turned Politician Kamal Haasan on Thursday said that his party is ready to go all in all 40 seats in upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019. He said, ‘Our aim is to not go with any tainted group. We are preparing to contest on all 40 seats (in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry)’.

However, He said he is yet to decide from which constituency he will throw his hat. He said, “I cannot say at this moment from where I will contest”.

Recently on Feb 5, Haasan took to Twitter and said, ‘All the promises in this interim budget made to the middle class and the farmers might look impressive prima facie but if broken down to per diem/day allowance, it would amount to a paltry sum’.

He added in a series of a tweet, ‘Economic experts will easily be able to pick holes on this budget. But what is obvious even to the common man is that this budget sounds in some parts like the legitimate version of money for votes’.

Earlier on January 30th, During the launch of his party in Puducherry, Kamal Haasan racked up Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his poll promise of minimum income guarantee for poor. Kamal Haasan who has floated in his own political outfit Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) on February last year in Tamil Nadu, has recently launched its party in Puducherry on January 30. MNM will contest Lok Sabha 2019 Lok Sabha Polls on 40 seats – Tamil Nadu has 39 seats in Lok Sabha while Puducherry has a single seat.

In December last year, Kamal Haasan had announced that his party would contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

Kamal Haasan also asserted that his party is open to an alliance with like-minded parties. However, earlier Hasan sought said ‘It has been decided that Party will contest on all 40 Lok Sabha Seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in an alliance will like-minded parties. On which, Congress, reportedly, invited him to join forces in Tamil Naidu. Congress claimed that the parties have similar ideologies so they should contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019 as an alliance.
