TRS Supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao is set to take oath as the CM of Telangana for the second successive term at 1.25 pm on Thursday, which is believed to be an auspicious moment as per KCR’s astrologers.

On Wednesday, all of the newly-elected 88 MLAs of TRS along with KCR met at the party headquarters and passed the resolution announcing KCR as the leader. Following which, a party delegation was sent to Raj Bhavan with a copy of the resolution. The Governor of Telangana, E. S. L. Narasimhan has invited KCR to form the government.

KCR announced, “We shall expand our cabinet soon by inducting some more ministers. We shall give due representation to different sections and communities in the cabinet.”

In a surprising turn of events, Korukanti Chander who was TRS’s rebel and contested as an independent MLA from Ramagundam constituency met KCR’s son KT Rama Rao and has rejoined the party.

On his decision of jumping into the national politics to show a Non-Bjp and Non-Congress picture to the country, he declared that the Rythu Bandhu scheme introduced by TRS government in May would be implemented throughout the country if the federal front comes to power in 2019. Under the scheme, Rs 4,000 per acre would be provided to each farmer towards investment assistance.

“It is not a burden. The farm sector needs support.”

Pressing on increasing the focus on the welfare of the farmers and the minorities, he announced, “The Federal Front will go to polls with the slogan to replicate the Rytu Bandhu scheme across the country, to encourage farming. The scheme will cost the exchequer roughly around Rs 3.5 lakh crore. It is not a burden. The farm sector needs this support.”

“Alternative Model of Governance”

Taking a dig at both BJP and Congress he said, “Both the parties have diluted the spirit of federalism and that is why we are taking initiative in creating an alternative model of governance with more powers to the states.”

On the issue of rising unemployment, he asserted, “We shall fill up vacant government posts on a war footing. The opposition parties tried to mislead the unemployed over the job vacancies. We shall also implement payment of unemployment allowance to the jobless youth from the coming financial year.”
