While most of people are hailing the Telangana cops encounter, where they killed four people accused of raping and murdering 26-year-old veterinary surgeon in Hyderabad, legal experts have raised eyebrows on the same.
Some of the legal experts have said that as per the law a probe should be immediately set up into the mysterious encounter of the four accused in the rape and murder of a Hyderabad-based veterinarian.
Senior advocate and former President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Vikas Singh said, “The rule of law should prevail in the country, there should be an immediate inquiry into the encounter of the accused.”
“There are so many people exulting over encounter night, amongst them people who have lost faith in the slow court system and bad prosecution – Governments are squarely responsible. This needs to be a wake up call to 1. Appoint more judges and police, after assessing them for gender orientation. 2. Strengthen investigation so the right people are caught, and fast and 3. Bring in robust witness protection programmes”, said another Supreme Court advocate, Karuna Nundy.
