With less than a week to go for the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls, The mahagathbandhan, SP-BSP-RLD shared the same stage to campaign in Deoband on Sunday, against the two national parties, BJP, saying that they have failed to fulfill their promises, and Congress saying that it is not the strongest party fighting against BJP. The mahagathbandhan took the support of the West-Uttar Pradesh farmers who are the major cause of resentments among the locals, against BJP, both at center and in the state.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Ajit Singh addressed the rally in Deoband on Sunday by bidding thousand of restless party workers and farmers. The slogan “basapa, sapa aur Ralod ki Jai” was announced as the party slogan.

Lakhs of loyalists including the people from the communities of jats, Yadavs, Jatavs and Muslims, turned up for the rally

BSP chief Mayawati took a stroke on Congress and said that her government will introduce distribution of ₹6,000 and provide stable employment to every household. The scheme will be nothing like Congress Nyay scheme, but will really help the people.

“BJP will lose this election because of policies inspired by hatred especially their Chowkidar campaign,” said BSP chief Mayawati. She said that no matter how many people put the Chowkidar title with their names, but BJP shall not win.

SP chief, Akhilesh Yadav in his speech said that his alliance is for a great change. This alliance is formed to elect a new Prime Minister for the Country.

“In 2014, the BJP asked us to become Hindus, now they’re asking us to become nationalists. What happened to all those promises and the pending payments for the sugarcane produce?” a Jat from the community asked who is an RLD supporter.

SP will fight from 37 seats and BSP will fight from 38 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Whereas RLD will contest on Three seats.

This was the first time when three party chief were sharing the same stage for a United Political Campaign. It was 26 years ago when the SP chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav and then the BSP chief, Kanshi Ram came together to defeat the BJP at the peak of Ram Temple issue.

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the alliance will hold rallies at Badau, Agra, Mainpuri, Rampur, Firoezabad, Kannauj, Faizabad, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi.
