While addressing a rally in Madha constituency in Solapur district, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and sarcastically said that Pawar is ahead of time in understanding which way the wind shall blow.

While addressing a rally in Madha, PM Modi commented on Sharad Pawar’s game who knows which way the wind is blowing before time. “He will never do anything that would affect him or his family,” Said PM Modi is his speech.

Modi accused Sharad Pawar of running away from the battleground. He also said that Sharad Pawar was the agriculture minister in the government. If he wished, he could have done something for the welfare of the farmers by introducing the new schemes. But the minister was busy in running his sugar mills.

Taking a jibe at the opposition, Narendra Modi hit out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi was alleging that all surnames with ‘Modi’ are thieves. To the remark, Narendra Modi retorted, that Congress and its allies have called Modi thief. They have not left any abuse to unfold in regard to is backward caste. Modi said that “this time Congress and its allies have abused my entire backward society.”

Modi took over the insults hurled at him and said that when Congress said, Chowkidar Chor hai, and all Indians started calling themselves as Chowkidaars, they had no option other than to keep shut.

Campaigning in Magdha, Narendra Modi urged the voters to vote for BJP and give him time to fulfill his unfulfilled promises. He said that to run a country, it is imperative to have a strong leader.

Maharashtra will go to polls in four phases for the 17th Lok Sabha elections. Seven Lok Sabha seats out of the total 48 Lok Sabha seats went to polls in the first phase on April 11. The results shall be announced on May 23.
