The alliance between Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) and Samajwadi Party(SP) is reportedly “confirmed”. BSP Supremo Mayawati, however, is likely to finalize it on her visit to Lucknow either by the month-end or at the start of the new year.

The seat-sharing deal for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls has been decided the between the two parties. However, the decision over a few seats is still left.

A BSP leader on the condition of anonymity told the media that Mayawati has been working to form a third front of parties which would neither be associated with BJP nor with Congress. He also told that SP, Indian National Lok Dal, and the Janta Chhattisgarh Congress (JCC) have unanimously decided to project Mayawati as the PM candidate in the elections.

Also, BSP Chief is likely to replace the poor performers in the party with the relatively better ones. She is also expected to view the party’s preparedness for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in the first week of January.

BSP Chief Mayawati and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav have also considered the alliance with Janata Dal (Secular), former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi, INLD and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Also, Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) leader K Chandrashekhar Rao is going to meet Mayawati on Tuesday. BSP has also held talks with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar.

Also, it is expected that Mayawati is likely to release the new edition of her book titled “A Travelogue of My Struggle-Ridden Life and BSP Movement” in a programme organized by the party.
