Earthquake in Delhi

People of Delhi woke up to horror earlier today when they felt earthquake tremors. The affected areas included Delhi NCR, Noida and Gurgaon. The epicentre of the earthquake was a place in Haryana called Gohana. According to United States Geological Survey, the epicentre was 10 kilometre deep in the earth.

The earthquake occurred around 4:20am and the frequency was measured to be 4.7 on richter scale. Terrified people of Delhi took to social media to confirm the earthquake and were seen using friends about the confirmation. Till now, no reports of any damage have been confirmed.

Delhi has been one of the most earthquake-prone areas in India. However, majority of the earthquakes occurred in the capital have been low-intencity, causing very less or no damage.
