DMK Chief MK Stalin and Superstar Rajnikanth on Friday walked into the residence of DMDK chief Vijayakanth who had recently returned from the US following medical treatment. MK Stalin visit to DMDK Chief is significant and has sparked buzz in Political Verandas of Tamil Nadu.

Sources said this could be seen as a bid Development as the AIADMK bargaining with DMDK over stitching an alliance in Tamil Nadu seems inconclusive till now. When asked if he would welcome DMDK into his party alliance, Stalin said “I appreciate and thank you for your good intentions,” but did not elaborate but added he did not visit Vijayakanth to discuss politics but to inquire about his health on humanitarian grounds.

Earlier, Hours after announcing a Poll pact with AIADMK,  BJP top leader and Tamil Nadu election in charge Piyush Goyal had met with Vijayakanth.

Apart from MK Stalin, Superstar Rajnikanth, who has recently opted out of Lok Sabha Polls also visited Vijayakanth to inquire about his health.

“He is a nice man,” the top actor said, adding the DMDK chief has recuperated well and “is in good health.” He added that there is nothing political in the visit.

While in another development on the day, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder S Ramadoss on Friday hosted a dinner at his farmhouse for Chief Minister K Palaniswami and his Cabinet colleagues. PMK’s Dinner came days after PMK inked an alliance with AIADMK and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

Currently, AIADMK-BJP-PMK alliance in the state is busy in finalizing terms with Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) but with the DMK Chief visit to DMDK Chief sparked a new Political Buzz.

Apart from AIADMK-BJP Pact, DMK has also finalized terms Congress for General Elections 2019. Announcing the Poll pact, MK Stalin said, ‘Out of total 40 seats, 9 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu & 1 seat in Puducherry have been given to Congress’.

It is expected that CPICPI(M), the Indian Union Muslim League, and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi likely to join the DMK-Congress Alliance.
