After registering a landslide victory in the recently held national polls 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Former President Pranab Mukjherjee in the national capital. PM Modi sought blessings from the Former President before taking oath as the Prime Minister for the second term.

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Parliamentary Constituency Varanasi to thank voters for the second term. He offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and later addressed party workers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of 4.70 lakh votes by defeating Shalini Yadav of Samajwadi party. He had held a massive roadshow in Varanasi last month during his nominations.
Narendra Modi was elected as Leader of the NDA on Saturday in a mega function in Central Hall of Parliament. Later he met President Ram Nath Kovind and stake claim to form new government at Centre.
Narendra Modi is slated to take oath for second term on May 30.
The Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently concluded national polls has secured 303 seats, 22 more than it got in 2014. While BJP along with its allies, the NDA secured 352 seats.
The Congress won 52 seats in the recently held polls, which is only 8 more than it got in 2014 national polls.
