Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday announced that Nishad Party and Janvadi Party (Socialist) has joined trucks with UP’s Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) for the upcoming battle of ballots.

Nishad Party who has a stronghold among Nishad Community in the state had earlier came into forefront during Gorakhpur by-poll. In the 2018 by-election, Praveen Nishad of Nishad Party contested on Samajwadi Party ticket with the backing of BSP and defeated BJP‘s, Upendra Shukla.

Nishad Party Chief Sanjay Nishad talking to media said that looking at the current situation in the State, We have decided to join hands with BSP-SP alliance in the state.

While Sanjay Singh Chauhan of Janvadi Party (Socialist) said that both SP-BSP came together to defeat BJP and its anti-people policies in the state. Janvadi Party (Socialist) is believed to have good voter base and stronghold among Chauhan Community.

With this, the SP-BSP Alliance will have a total of 5 parties including Ajit Singh‘s Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD). The Grand Alliance in the polls will take BJP and Congress. BJP has so far finalized terms with Apna Dal(S) while Congress has also taken small allies in its Uttar Pradesh Hunt.

Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party have agreed on 37:38 Seat Formula while 3 seats been offered to RLD. Both BSP-SP has started rolling out names of Candidates for the mega battle of ballots for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Uttar Pradesh which has a total of 80 seats will go to polls in all seven phases starting from April 11.

Counting of votes will take place on May 23, four days after the final round of Polling.
