As a way to commemorate Former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 94th birth anniversary, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday told the media that Bihar government will install a statue of Vajpayee in Patna. He said that the decision about the height, cost and exact location of the statue will be taken soon.

Also, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lately announced that a 21-meter tall statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be installed inside the Lok Bhawan in Lucknow.

Adityanath said that the former PM had strong ties with Uttar Pradesh. He added that Vajpayee started his public life from Balrampur in UP and has been an MP from Lucknow for five terms.

He lauded Vajpayee as the foundation of  ‘Sushasan’  i.e. good governance. He said that Atalji became the symbol of trust in politics and many schemes are launched in his name. Adityanath added that Vajpayee’s politics came from the ideals of Deendayal Upadhyay and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Also, the central government on Tuesday dedicated a memorial named ‘Sadaiv Atal’ of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the nation.

The memorial is located at a vacant piece of land which was made available by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at Rashtriya Smriti Sthal, near Rajghat. The memorial was constructed by Centre Public Works Department (CPWD) in just five months at a cost of Rs. 10.51 crore which was borne by the Atal Smriti Nyas Society. The memorial reflects Vajpayee’s personality as a poet, humanist, statesman, and a great leader of the nation.
