Noida Authority launches new app to address street light grievance

NEW DELHI: The Noida authority, on Friday, launched a mobile app for LED street light grievance redressal. Noida authority’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ritu Maheshwari launched the app.

As per a senior authority official, people can register a complaint of any non-functioning street light in their area through the app.

The application is available both play store and Apple store. The name of the app is ‘Noida smart LED light’. A person can register their complaint of non-functioning street light in their area through the app which will be replaced within 48 hours. A dedicated control room has been set up to monitor complaints. Safety for women and eliminating petty crimes like snatching that occur mostly in dark spots are the top priorities for the authorities.

The authority has a tie-up with TATA projects limited. This initiative will change 74,000 street lights in Noida with much efficient and power saving LED lights. “Around 64,580 street lights in Noida have been converted into LED while rest will be changed soon,” an official said.
