National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval along with Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat, Indian Air Force Chief BS Dhanao is reviewing security arrangements on the borders after IAF conducted Air Strikes destroying Terror Camps in Balakot across LoC in Pakistan.

Former Army Chief General Bikram Singh termed the Air Strikes it as ‘Surgical Strike 2’. He said, ‘It’s an excellent operation that has been undertaken. It was certain it’ll happen, it was writing on the wall as PM had announced it. We’ve seen that earlier when PM announced after Uri we went in for surgical strike 1. This is surgical strike 2.

Indian Air Force after conducting Aerial Strikes in LoC destroying Terror Camps in Pakistan puts Air Defence System along with International Borders and Line of Control (LoC) on high Alert.

Apart from International Borders, following the Air Strikes, all the Airports have also been put on High Alert.

This comes after Indian Air Force in the early hours of Tuesday carried out aerial Strikes destroying major Terror Camps in Pakistan. IAF Operation had totally destroyed Balakot Terror Launch Pad and JeM control rooms also destroyed’.

Informing about the IAF’s Air Strikes, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that Balakot Terror Launch Pad was destroyed by the IAF’s Operation. In an intelligence lead operation in the early hours today, India struck the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. In this operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commander & Jihadis were eliminated’ He said.

Indian Air Force sources claimed that ’12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LOC, completely destroying it’. Sources further claimed that aerial strikes were carried at early hours at around 03:30 on Tuesday.

The development comes amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan after the February 14 suicide attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group that killed 40 CRPF soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Union Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has after the Air Strike called an all-party meeting later in the day. She is expected to convey information about the IAF’s Operation to all political Parties.

Following the aerial strikes, Opposition Leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Mallikarjun Kharge hailed IAF.
