On Monday, the leading cab services, Ola has announced that its shared mobility offering Ola Share has registered 500 per cent growth in the last one year. This service provides customer to share the ride with another passenger if they are travelling in same direction. They saves fuel. Cities like, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata emerged as the biggest users of Ola Share, people would like to share their ride with other persons that they’ll not get bored and money will also be split.

Vishal Kaul, COO, Ola stated that “Ola Share is one of our flagship products and is poised to bring down traffic congestion on roads, which means that people in our cities will spend less time in traffic and is also saving fuel in large amount”.

The company is encouraging and promoting local people to share their rides by selling “Share Pass”, a subscription product that allows customers to take Ola Share rides at a flat fixed price at ₹1 starting from June 5 to June 11. This service may attract more people towards Ola.

In the recent media report by Indiacityblog, it was stated that UberPool has also came up with its growth percentage and showed that they saved 936K liters of fuel, which is really a huge progress now let’s see which can attract more Public.
