BJP in Arunachal Pradesh has completed the formation of pristha (page) paramukh. He said, “The developmental landscape of the North East has completely changed.”

In August this year BJP had announced that it won’t go for any pre-poll alliance for the Assembly elections slated next year. “We will not go for any pre-poll alliance with any party but will contest the election on our own,” BJP state unit president Tapir Gao had told reporters. Gao affirmed the National People’s Party (NPP) saying that the BJP has no alliance with that party and that it will go solo to fight all 60 assembly and two parliamentary seats.

The alliances with NPP in some North Eastern states were all post poll alliances. Meghalaya based NPP is leading alliance of six parties in Meghalaya and is a partner of BJP led government in Manipur. NPP will make assembly election debut in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Mizoram is going to polls on November 28

The Assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh will be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. The general elections will take place in the months of April-May next year to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha.
