Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a Public Meeting on January 6 in Pathanamthitta, the central state of Kerela where the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Temple is Located.

PM Modi is likely to visit the state again on January 27 to inaugurate the Conference of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha, BJYM, the Youth wing of the Party in Thrissur, said a State BJP Functionary.

The Selection of the Venue for January at Pathanamthitta is significant as the state has been boiling over the Sabarimala Row.

Two meetings in the south state can be dubbed as the launch of Lok Sabha 2019 Elections Campaign in the state by the Narendra Modi led Bhartiya Janta Party. Modi’s visit will also give a boost to State Party Leaders who are facing criticism left, right and center over the Sabarimala Issue.

PM Modi while interacting with workers of the state through a Video Conference, He asked the BJP State Units to reach the people with the party’s stand on the Sabarimala Issue keeping the Constitutional norms alive.

BJP State President P S Sreedharan Pillai said apart from The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Amit Shah will also address workers on December 31 in Palakkad. The prime minister will take part in two programmes- one in Pathanamthitta and the second in Thrissur. The upcoming Lok Sabha polls is the focus. As Pathanamthitta happens to be the centre of activity of the Sabarimala pilgrimage, the meeting assumes great significance,” he told PTI.

Meanwhile, in the state and core committee meetings, it has been decided that the Party will continue its attack on CPI(M) led LDF for implementing Court Order. While BJP State Unit is on Indefinite Hunger Strike since December 3 demanding withdrawal of prohibitory orders and reducing police restrictions at the hill-top shrine.
