Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder S Ramadoss on Friday hosted a dinner at his farmhouse for Chief Minister K Palaniswami and his Cabinet colleagues. PMK’s Dinner came days after PMK inked an alliance with AIADMK and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

Sources said that this is the first meeting after the alliance between both the parties. They discussed poll preparations over dinner at his Thailapuram residence.

Leaders of PMK who have been given seven seats as per seat sharing arrangement choose not to say anything about the meetings between top Leaderships with AIADMK Members.  Besides Palaniswami, AIADMK coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, ministers including P Thangamani, S P Velumani, C Ve Shanmugam and K P Anabalagan were present at the sprawling farmhouse.

When the Chief Minister and his deputy arrived along with their Cabinet colleagues, they were accorded a warm reception by Ramadoss and his son Anbumani, who is the Dharmapuri Lok Sabha MP.

PMK has recently inked an alliance with AIADMK. As per seat sharing arrangement, PMK will field its candidates on 7 Lok Sabha Seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019. PMK will also get a seat in Rajya Sabha. PMK is the part of the alliance that in the larger picture takes BJP and DMDK into its fold.

AIADMK and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) had also announced the seat pact with BJP given 5 seats in Tamil Nadu for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. Currently, AIADMK-BJP-PMK alliance in the state is busy in finalizing terms with Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK).

In the meanwhile, Opposition DMK has also finalized terms Congress for General Elections 2019. Announcing the Poll pact, MK Stalin said, ‘Out of total 40 seats, 9 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu & 1 seat in Puducherry have been given to Congress’.

It is expected that CPICPI(M), the Indian Union Muslim League, and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi likely to join the DMK-Congress Alliance.
