The Uttar Pradesh politics has always been a very important and interesting part of the Indian political system. The state, which has seen most of the prime ministers contesting elections from its seats, has yet again an interesting news ahead of the assembly polls, which are to be held in 2017.

Renowned Indian cricketer, Praveen Kumar, who was once regarded as one of the best Indian fast bowling talents has joined Samajwadi party, the ruling political outfit in the state. The move was announced by the cricketer himself after a meeting with Mr. Akhilesh Kumar, the chief minister of the state.
