Seven members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) were arrested on Thursday for ambushing a pregnant lady, who lost her infant, in January over a land question in Kozhikode region of north Kerala, police said.

Josna Baby charged that the men were captured simply after her family organized a sit-in before the Kodenjery police headquarters on Wednesday, looking for activity. She said the police declined to hold up their objection the first occasion when they moved toward them because of political weight.

The 28-year-old lady said a gathering of individuals drove by the CPI(M) branch secretary burst into their home and began beating her significant other once again a debate with respect to a limit. She said when she attempted to spare her better half, she was pulled down and kicked on her stomach.

“Prior, we had documented a protestation with the police about the land question and they had cautioned CPI(M) pioneer Saidalavi and others not to bother or undermine. In spite of this, they burst into our home the evening of January 28 and began assaulting my significant other,” she said.

Rajasekharan was alluding to the Youth Congress pioneer, who passed on Tuesday after he was assaulted by unidentified men in north Kerala’s Kannur region daily prior.
