The Supreme Court verdict on Rafale Deal, which shrugged off the demand for a probe into the deal, has sparked off a war of words between the Centre and the Opposition.
While the Congress demanded a ‘recall’ of the Supreme Court’s judgment on Sunday, PM Modi lashed out at Congress for not accepting the SC verdict.
PM Modi slammed Congress by tweeting:
मैं कांग्रेस से जानना चाहता हूं कि क्या वो इसलिए भड़की हुई है, झूठ पर झूठ बोल रही है क्योंकि भाजपा सरकार जो रक्षा सौदे कर रही है, उसमें कोई क्वात्रोकी मामा नहीं है, क्रिश्चियन मिशेल नहीं है?
क्या इसलिए वो अब न्यायपालिका पर अविश्वास का माहौल पैदा करने में जुट गई है?: PM

He took a jibe at Congress by quoting “Bofors” and “VVIP Chopper Scam”.
Also, Finance minister Arun Jaitley attacked Congress by saying that the SC judgment is “clear” and every word against the government has proved to be “false”.
All the lies spoken on the Rafale deal has been exposed. The Supreme Court judgement is clear. Every word said against the Government has proved to be false. Every “fact” stated by the vested interests against the deal has proved to be manufactured.

The opposition, on the other hand, has leashed out an attack on the Centre with major opposition leaders sharply criticizing the verdict and are accusing the government of producing “lies” in the top court.
CPI leader Sitaram Yechury called it “a breach of constitutional institutions” and demanded a summon against Attorney General.
Sitaram Yechury: It’s clear now that govt gave factually incorrect info to SC & they delivered verdict based on it. It should've gone to parliament but went to judiciary instead; it's a breach of constitutional institutions. Only AG can answer, he should be summoned by Parliament pic.twitter.com/Wk01Uc72KK

Congress leader Anand Sharma called the judgment “void” and demanded the SC to recall the verdict.
Anand Sharma, Congress: Govt misled the Supreme Court to get a manipulated judgement & when this glaring error came to notice, they told the SC couldn’t understand English language. Therefore we demand that the SC immediately recall this judgement, which is void. #RafaleVerdict pic.twitter.com/ycJZRnh9Ey
