As Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday turned 49, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished him good health and long life. PM Modi took to Twitter and said, ‘Best wishes to Shri @RahulGandhi on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and a long life’.

Rahul Gandhi responded to PM Modi’s wish and said, ‘Thank you for your greetings @narendramodi ji. I appreciate them’.

Apart from PM Modi, many other leaders also wished Congress President. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended the wishes to Congress President. ‘Greetings and good wishes to Shri @RahulGandhi on his birthday. Wishing him a long life filled with good health’, said Rajnath Singh in a tweet on Wednesday.

Apart from Singh, among others who wish Rahul Gandhi include, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati.

‘Best wishes on your birthday’, said Mamata Banerjee in a tweet. While BSP Supremo Mayawati said, and Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also wished Gandhi a long and healthy life.

With the flood of wishes pouring in twitter, ‘Rahul ji’ and ‘Shri Rahul Gandhi’ were trending in Hindi on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

Rahul Gandhi thanked all the people for their wishes and overwhelming love. ‘Thank you all for your best wishes and greetings on my birthday. I’m overwhelmed & grateful for your love and affection’, he said in a tweet.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi had on Monday took oath as Wayanad MP on the very first day of 17th Lok Sabha Session. Rahul Gandhi won the Lok Sabha Polls with a heavy margin of over 4.30 Lakh votes from Wayanad Lok Sabha Seat. He defeated his opponent PP Sunner of CPI-M in the recently held national polls. However, Gandhi lost its stronghold Amethi by 55,000 votes by BJP‘s Smriti Irani.
