Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rajasthan unit Cihef Madan Lal Saini has passed away at the National Capital’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday evening. He was diagnosed with the infection in the lungs and was undergoing treatment.

Saini, 75, who was also a Rajya Sabha MP, was appointed as Rajasthan BJP Chief last year. A former MLA who hailed from Sikar district of the State, Saini, held several positions in Bharatiya Kisan Morcha.

PM Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Amit Shah, BJP Working President Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, among others paid tribute to the bigwig of State. Several other leaders across party lines also paid tribute to Rajya Sabha MP who breathed his last on Monday.

‘The passing away of Shri Madanlal Saini Ji is a major loss for the BJP family. He contributed to strengthening the Party in Rajasthan. He was widely respected for his congenial nature and community service efforts. My thoughts are with his family and supporters. Om Shanti’, said PM Modi in a tweet on Monday.

‘The demise of Shri Madan Lal Saini is an imperfect loss to the BJP family. I express my condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief and pray to the Lord for the peace of the departed soul’, said Union Home Minister and BJP Chief Amit Shah.

‘I am shocked by the information of the passing away of My Raj Sabha colleague, Shri Madan Lal Sainiji. This is an imperfect loss to the BJP family. Madan Lal Sainiji sacrificed his whole life in the service of society. God gives peace to his charitable soul’, tweeted BJP Working President JP Nadda.

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot also paid tribute to BJP Bigwig. ‘The death of Rajasthan BJP State President Madan Lal Ji Saini is a big loss for the state. Madanji’s life has been a symbol of simplicity. My tribute to him and condolences to the family members’, Pilot said in a tweet.

‘Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing away of Sh. Madan Lal Saini ji, President of BJP . My thoughts and prayers are with his family members. May God give them strength to bear this loss. May his soul rest in peace’, said Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
