The Kerela High Court on Friday granted bail to Activist Rahul Esawar, with a condition not to enter the Pamba Police Station Limits and appear from Investigation Officers for two months. Esawar, the President Of Ayyappa Dharma Sena, was arrested on Monday for defying Bail Conditions, in a case related to violence, erupted in Sabarimala Row.

Justice Sunil Thomas on Friday asked the activist not to enter Pamba and to report at Pathanamthitta police station once every month.

Esawar was first arrested on October 17 after he protested against the Apex Court order of allowing the Women of all ages to enter the shrine. Rahul was later granted bail on October 22 with a condition to appear Pathanamthitta police station every Saturday.

However, he didn’t appear before the Investigation Officers last week, because of which court canceled the bail, and ordered Police to arrest him.

The State is facing intense atmosphere over the Supreme Court verdict of allowing women of all ages to enter the Shrine. But so far, no woman between the ages of 10 and 50 has been able to enter the temple due to massive protests.

On another hand, The BJP State Unit is on Indefinite Hunger Strike since December 3 demanding withdrawal of prohibitory orders and reducing police restrictions at the hill-top shrine.

Earlier BJP on December 14, Following the death of 55-year-old Venugopalan Nair, BJP called a dawn-to-dusk state-wide hartal. Venugopalan Nair self-immolated at the venue (in Thiruvananthapuram) of BJP‘s protest over the Sabarimala issue.
