JD(U) slammed the former president of the party by saying that he is compromising with corruption as he has not supported CM Nitish Kumar‘s new alliance with the BJP and he is in support of RJD-Congress led mahagatbandhan. It was difficult for the JD(U) leaders to understand why Sharad Yadav was backing tainted leaders.
The chief spokesperson of JD(U), Sanjay Singh, raised questions about Sharad Yadav’s decision to hold a seminar against communalism in New Delhi on 17 August, two days ahead of the JD(U) National Executive meeting in Patna. This is first time JD(U) leaders have launched a direct attack against Sharad Yadav since Nitish Kumar embraced the BJP.
Sharad Yadav has recently said that Nitish Kumar has insulted people’s mandate by dumping mahagatbandhan and joining hands with BJP.
Most senior leaders of the Congress and Left and regional parties are likely to attend the seminar.
