BJP National President Amit Shah on his three day trip to Telangana, charged its government of miserably failing in implementing most of the Union government’s schemes and called it incapable.

Shah also alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government had failed in meeting minimum needs of people like toilets, housing and drinking water in the past three years. He also blamed the TRS government of failing to utilise Centre’s support, though the Union government had extended over Rs 1 lakh crore of funds to Telangana under various schemes and projects.

Upset about the allegations charged by Amit shah, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao dared him to prove his allegations or apologise to Telangana for trying to hamper the state’s image, investments and development. He also said that in fact, BJP did not support Telangana adequately despite significant contributions from the southern state to the nation form of highest GDP growth, taxes and export earnings. Further adding in response to Shah’s comment over Centre’s support of Rs 1 lakh crore of funds, he said that, the state has so far received only Rs 67,390 crore funds under central devolution. Rao also said that the Centre was not doing any favour by providing the funds, as it is Telangana’s right to receive central funds as share in tax collections like any other state in the country.

During his three day tour to Telangana, Amit Shah boasted about the confidence of coming to power in Telangana in 2019 elections through continuously exposing and fighting against the failures of the TRS government. Commenting on this Rao said that according to recent survey, BJP will not be able to win even one seat.

Rao also accused Amit Shah of trying to instigate the idea of communal politics among the public by opposing the reservations that the TRS government proposed for Muslims.
