Terrorism common concern for both countries; MBS ensures full cooperation on India visit

Saudi Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman arrived in Delhi on the evening of 19th February, for a 2-day visit to India.

Prior to his visit to India, MBS also visited ‘Pakistan’ but he went back to Riyadh for couple of hours and then flew to India.

MBS signed ‘deals’ with Pakistan, worth $20 Billion.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi broke the ‘protocol’ in order to convey his signature ‘hug’ to Saudi Prince while receiving MBS from the airport.

India is schedule to talk on issues of trade deals, Defence, Intel sharing, Counter terrorism, Joint Military Exercise and measures to curb ‘money laundering’.

There has also been the speculation that India and Saudi Arabia are likely to sign 5 MoU, during MBS’s visit.

Along with the reports of deals worth $44 Billion in Ratnagiri Refinery Project.

MBS was offered the ‘ceremonial welcome’ at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. President, Ram Nath Kovind also accompanied PM Modi in ‘hosting’ the Prince in Rashtrapati Bhawan.

In a brief statement delivered by Saudi Prince, after the ‘welcome’ ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan. He said that India and the Arabian Peninsula have been allies for long and that we share the same DNA. He praised India’s contribution in building the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Prince MBS, in his press conference on the Indian soil asserted that ‘terrorism’ and ‘extremism’ are the common concern that both countries share. Terming India as ‘friend’, he said that Saudi Arabia would help India at all fronts and further co-operate to ensure a bright future for the generations to come.

MBS did not mention anything about ‘Pulwama attack’, neither did he mentioned ‘Pakistan’ in any concern.

PM Narendra Modi in the same press meet said that both the countries (India & Saudi Arabia) agreed on increasing pressure on the countries that supports ‘terrorism’. Modi, while addressing ‘MBS’ as ‘Royal Highness’ expressed his happiness in welcoming MBS and his delegation in the country. He further asserted that ‘Saudi Arabia’ is amongst the most valuable ‘strategic partner’ to India.

PM Modi added that India’s and Saudi Arabia’s relationship is decades old. The relationship between the people of Saudi and India is like a ‘living bridge’, he added. Also thanked ‘Royal Highness’ for the increment in ‘Hajj Quota’ for Indians. Further thanked Saudi Prince for taking care 2.7 million Indians in Saudi Arabia residing ‘peacefully’ and ‘usefully’.
