According to projections by Times Now-VMR opinion survey, the NDA is all set to return to power winning 283 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The opinion survey, conducted with around 17,000 respondents, gave 135 seats to the UPA while the others are expected to get 125 seats.

The opinion survey predicts that NDA is going to improve its vote share from 38.5% in 2014 to 40.1% in 2019.

Meanwhile, the UPA is expected to improve its vote share from 23% in 2014 to 30.6%.

The Times Now-VMR survey is predicting a huge win for the National Democratic Alliance(NDA) in the Hindi heartland and in the Northeast region.

The NDA is projected to win 22 out of the 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 20 in the 25 seats in Rajasthan and 6 in the 11 seats in Chhattisgarh.

Previously , the BJP had lost power in the three states in the Assembly Elections.

The Congress who is power in the this three states now, is predicted to win only 7 seats in MP, 5  in Rajasthan and 5 in Chhattisgarh.

It also predicts that the BJP is making significant inroads in West Bengal, Maharashtra and Odisha.

The survey predicts 11 seats for NDA in West Bengal, 39 seats in Maharashtra and 14 seats in Odisha.

TMC is expected to win 31 seats in West Bengal, whilst Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janta Dal may win 7 seats.

The projections show significant gains for the BSP-SP combine in Uttar Pradesh.

Akhilesh and Mayawati are likely to win 36 seats and will succeed in reducing the NDA to 42 seats.

In Bihar, the NDA is projected to win 27 seats while the still-to-be-formed Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandan) may win 13 seats.

The BJP is projected to win 15 seats in Karnataka, while the ruling combine of Congress-JD(s) is likely to win only 13 seats.

The predictions show 22 seats for the Jagan Reddy-led YSR Congress in Andhra. The state has 25 Lok Sabha seats. The ruling TDP in Andhra is likely to be confined to 3 seats.

The survey predicts 13 seats for the KCR-led TRS in Telangana.

The Congress-led UDF in Kerala, is lkely to improve its previous tally by winning 16 of the 20 seats.

Also,the ruling LDF may be confined to only 3 seats.

In Tamil Nadu, the survey predicts DMK-led UPA alliance winning 34  seats, while the ruling AIADMK may be confined to 5 seats. The state has 29 seats.

Previously, Opinion Poll conducted by English news Channel Times Now and VMR predicted a setback for Bhartiya Janta Party-led NDA who is seeking another term in the office. The Poll survey predicted a hung assembly in 2019 with BJP led NDA having their upper hand in 252 seats, followed by the Congress-led UPA with 147 seats and Others with 144 seats. Bhartiya Janta Party alone is likely to win 215 seats in 2019 against its 282 in 2014 general elections. While Rahul Gandhi led Congress is expected to secure victory on 96 seats against its 44 in last general elections to the Lok Sabha.

Also, the previous survey predicted that the Bhartiya Janta Party is going to lose heavy in Uttar Pradesh the largest state that sends 80 parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha. The Opinion Poll Predicted SP-BSP to win 51 seats, while BJP will be reduced to 27 seats against its 73 in 2014, said Opinion Poll.
