TRS Boss and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

According to the sources in the TRS, during an hour-long meeting, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister Narendra Modi discussed the crucial mega battle of Lok Sabha 2019. Those familiar with the development claims that the TRS Chief is open to an idea of a post-poll alliance with the Saffron party in case the BJP fell short of a majority. TRS Chief believes that a pre-poll alliance would not benefit his party.

TRS who is not a part of an alliance led by Bhartiya Janta Party has abstained from a no-confidence motion moved by TDP members in the Lok Sabha weeks back.

While BJP ever since TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu parted ways has been warming up to the TRS Chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, or KCR has popularly known as. BJP has also praised the Development graph on Telangana last month in Lok Sabha while criticizing Chandrababu Naidu during a debate in no-trust motion.

KCR had met PM also in June. This is the first time he visited Prime Minister after being reinstalled as the Chief Minister in the youngest state. His second meeting in less than 50 days has reinforced the perception about growing proximity between the two parties.

KCR also submitted a memorandum seeking centre’s support for many welfare schemes in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated K Chandrashekhar Rao for his party massive victory in the Deccan state.

“We will continue to pursue these demands. If the Centre gives us what we want, it is an advantage for Telangana. If it does not, we know whom to blame,” a minister in the TRS government said.

But the TRS does not wants to create a room for the saffron party in the Deccan state and disposed of all rumors that his party will tie up for Lok Sabha Polls in a pre-poll alliance.

Before the Telangana State polls, Chandrasekhar Rao is believed to have taken the position that BJP did not have winnable candidates in Telangana and that the most TRS could do was not to field candidates against the five BJP MLAs.

KCR who is traveling to lengths and breaths of the country in a bid to forge an alliance without BJP and Congress had met Mamata Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik. However, he is also expected to meet BSP’s Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav but the meeting could not take place.
