Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday promised piped water to every household across the state by the next two years. CM added that the government has already started working in that direction and project will be started soon.

Addressing a video conference which was attended by District Magistrates, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, ‘Every Household will get piped water in the state within the next two years. The project to provide piped water will begin from Bundelkhand region by the end of the August’.

Talking about the Ganga, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that cleaning of Ganga is the biggest responsibilities of his government at state. Speaking in the conference, Chief Minister said that In order makes Ganga clean, committees have been set up at the districts located at the bank of the holy river.

Further talking about other plans which are on cards, Chief Minister added that over 15 rivers, which have gone dry, will be rejuvenated in the upcoming months. He added that the government is also planning to make people aware of rainwater harvesting in the state.

‘Ponds in the state are an effective medium of conserving water and the government is also working towards rejuvenating them’.

While earlier on Wednesday, Coming down heavily on the corrupt officers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government issued a strict warning to over 400 corrupt officers of several departments while 200 such officials have been directed to take voluntary retirements.

As per the government’s officials, the government, following its strict ‘no corruption tolerance’ policy, has decided to give early retirements to over 200 officials as they were found guilty in many corruption cases. While over 400 officers and employees have been warned of severe punishment.
