KANPUR: A 18-year-old ‘dalit’ young lady was burnt alive by unidentified people under the points of confinement of Bara Sagwar police headquarters in Unnao area on Thursday.
Her scorched body was found at a separation of almost 100 meter from her home.
The occurrence happened minutes after she had left home on her bike for the Tedha bazar, when the charged tossed oil and set her ablaze, the police said.
Her body was recuperated by the side of a farmland outside her town. Her bike was lying near her body.
“Passing by the at first sight proves, it appears that the young lady was scorched alive,” a police official conscious of the examination said.
The police have likewise recuperated a void holder and a case of matchsticks from the spot.
“A body of evidence has been enlisted against unidentified rapscallions and the body has been moved to morgue for after death examination. Regardless of whether the young lady was sexually ambushed or not, might be affirmed in the posthumous report,” said station house officer Uttam Singh Rathore.
“She had left home on a bike for Tedha bazar territory to purchase vegetables on Thursday evening. “I am directing the examination and the offenders will be reserved and sent to imprison,” he said.
