Vishakapatnam is the up and coming hub for technology. But now, it has been announced that it is also going to be a hub for cancer research too. The park will be named Vyas Cancer Park. The park’s aim is to create an ecosystem for science. It would put Vizag on the global map.

Vizag’s new plans for progress

Earlier this year it was announced that Vizag was going to be the go-to place for women entrepreneurs. A hub will be created specifically for this purpose. It will promote women entrepreneurs to join specifically from the Saarc region. Five acres of land was allotted for the same. These are all part of the plan to make Vizag a destination for technology and science.

The park for cancer research is said to be allotted 350 acres of land. It will also require an investment of 3,035 crores of rupees. The park will not only promote promising cancer research. It will also generate employment for thousands of people. The state government is tying up with experts from around the world to make the park a reality.

A conference to discuss the park and cancer research will take place on 17th and 18th February. A team from the America-based company, Elixsys will be visiting Vishakapatnam o discuss the project further. The Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) Partnership Summit will also be taking place in Vizag for three days. The summit will be held starting February 24th.

Plans like these have received much encouragement from the chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu. Two American companies have already agreed to be a part of the IT hub, Conduent Inc. and Franklin Templeton. This kind of large-scale infrastructure will definitely make Vishakapatnam popular for business and entrepreneurship. Vizag is no more going to be a destination only for tourism along India’s coastline. It will be a destination that will encourage business and technological progress not for Vishakapatnam alone, but for India as well.
