whatsapp video call

Whatsapp, the most popular messaging apps for smartphone users across the world, has been down for a few hours now. The services of Whatsapp have been not working in countries like India, Kenya, United States, United Kingdom and a lot of other countries across the world.

According to users tweeting about their frustration online, the services have been slow or unresponsive for a few hours now. The messages are not getting delivered and a few users are getting an error which says Whatsapp is not able to reach to its servers and requesting people to hold on while the engineers are trying to make it work again.

The app as such does not have any issues and it is loading completely fine with the chats and the content. However, when the users are trying to send messages, it shows connecting and the message does not get sent. Also, the same is the case with receiving the messages. So it can be concluded that the users are mainly facing problem in exchange of messages and that can either be a technical glitch or some issues on the server end.

Initially, it was being speculated that it was a problem across Europe, however, after interacting with some of our readers, the problem seems global and users in Asia, Europe, Africa and America are experiencing this.

Below is one such tweet where a Twitter user has shared his screenshot of whatsapp.
