CCD Jaipur with friends

Most of us would agree that friendship does not need a day to be celebrated. We celebrate it with our friends every day and in our own special way. The trips taken together, the laughs shared and the secrets kept are all reminiscences of the time spent with our pals. And what makes this bond so special is the acceptance of the good and bad in them. So this friendship’s day when I was chatting with my friends about where to go and celebrate, not because our friendship needed a special day of the month to show our affection for each other but just because we needed a reason to take a break from our monotonous lives and have some fun, I couldn’t resist but notice that they were so different, each in their own way.
I’m sure every Jaipurite has a friend who resembles at least one of the following I have mentioned here. These traits not only identify them but also make it certain that they belong to the Pink City.

  1. The one who always goes to GT (Gaurav Towers).

Yes, we all have that one friend who just can’t get enough of the place. The reasons can be many. But the most common reason we get to hear is that it is close by and most importantly it is economical. Also, ‘everything’ is available there, be it Dominos, Pizza Hut, Mc Donald’s or, well, the inexpensive food stalls. The Conventional One.

  1. The one who goes to WTP (World Trade Park) instead of GT.

Well, yes, I’m talking about the friend who is in the transition period and has shifted his/her loyalties from GT to WTP only because of the ambience. From the big chandelier inside to the scenic view outside, it’s all about the coolness quotient for them. The Phony One.

  1. The one who meets only at CCD.

It’s classy, it’s decent and it’s CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) where ‘a lot can happen over coffee’. What other place would provide an atmosphere where you can comfortably talk. Well, there are a lot of places to try out but I guess the reasons behind going to the same place every time, are quite acceptable. It’s popular and its outlets are in almost every locality of Jaipur but for some the reason could simply be that you only have to pay for coffee. The Smart One.

  1. The one who watches movies at CP (Crystal Palm) Inox.

The multi purposed place would be the ideal option for this friend not only because of the restaurants and Brand Outlets that it maintains but also because the kind of people coming to the place matters. The Classy One.

  1. The one who watches movies at EP (Entertainment Park).

Well, this friend, usually, is a movie buff and likes to see the show on the big screen but at a more reasonably priced place. The crowd, the food doesn’t really matter as long as you are seeing the movie in a theatre and the tickets are cheap when you’ve booked it for the morning show. The Economical One.

  1. The one who plans to go to MGF to shop but doesn’t know it.

This mall-going friend frequents this place a lot and doesn’t really plan on shopping every time, but most of the time it is hard to resist when stuff at Lifestyle is just the kind he/she wants. The Compulsive Shopper.

  1. The one who goes to MGF not to shop.

And then there’s the other friend, to whom the shiny new stuff does look appealing, but believes in shopping only when it is required and usually ends up at the Food Court because, let’s face it, there are other things one can do apart from shopping. The Window Shopper.

  1. The one who is in love and the one who isn’t.

Well, it’s not only the food court where this love-struck friend can be found with his/her beloved, but more often than not, this is the place narrowed down for hanging out. Unfortunately, this is also the place where the single friends, or should we call them the free-birds, show up. Sometimes they are taken aback seeing the couple and at other times they just arrive to make the other one conscious. The Lover and the Teaser.

  1. The one who goes to Nahargarh to enjoy the weather.

For this friend, good weather calls for going out and enjoying it. And everyone knows which place he/she is going to suggest just like every other time. Nahargarh. Long drive, great view and great pictures make the perfect outing. The Sightseer.

  1. The one that is ever-ready for a ‘photo-session.

Selfies with friends

No occasion is needed for this one to strike up a pose and make the camera go click. From Birla Temple to the changing room of the MGF mall, it doesn’t really matter where you are because every outing is reason enough to click and upload pictures on the social network. The Photogenic.

A friend is the one who knows and loves you just the same (even if you belong to the ones referred above!). Cherish this relationship because its one the greatest gift of life.
