So as we all know Mumbai is one of the busiest cities in the world. Here majority of the people work outside be them men, women or teenagers. The city has many ways of public transport but local trains are most famous and widely used.  People from all across the country come here in search of jobs and opportunities for business.  Every Mumbaikar tends to spend his 2-3 hrs in commuting by train every day. As Mumbaikars are best when it comes to utilizing time, they try their best to make everyday train journey interesting enough. These are the people you will find in every train and you will find one of these traits in everyone.

Hunters – these are the fellows who enter trains with hunting spirits, you’d be wondering that what they really hunt for but all they want in their life at that moment is “SEAT”. You just can’t imagine the kind of energy they have while searching and claiming for the seat.

Shoppers – these are the people who are shopping lovers. Every time any seller come with anything like small useful household thing which are made in china, handkerchiefs , food packets, accessories and what not it makes these people raise their brows and check out the stuff. It’s true that one hardly gets time to shop for such little thing in Mumbai so it’s pretty convenient too.

Readers – readers are the ones who are addicted to books and newspapers.  No matter whether they have place to stand or not they will read every day. Nowadays these readers have shifted to eBooks and e-newspapers as it is easier in train but ya habit of reading continues.

Music maniacs – for these people it’s like ‘once you get in all you have to do is plug in your chords or headphones and start tuning in.’ for them every journey is a musical one. It is always fun when i see them nodding their heads on the beats.

Chit chatters – do you really need a strong topic to talk? They don’t think so. These people just talk talk and talk. It’s good if the other one belongs to same category otherwise it might become pain for that person. But this way many make friend in their daily commute. Topic can be anything from trains, office, household stuff to movies, corruption etc. its fun to listen them.

Movie lovers – have u watched SHOLEY, DDLJ… i know that majority of Indians have watched them. But in this case when it comes to movie maniac Mumbaikars ….they just love to watch movies. All they do is they download them on their phones and tablets and enjoy it till the destination comes. I sometimes wonder what one gets in watching the same movie for n number of times but ya its good way to kill the time.

Doorkeepers – many people enjoy sitting at a place but these Mumbaikars won’t leave the door as they are the official door keepers for railways. They enjoy standing at door for the whole journey though sometimes it’s uncomfortable for other commuters. They will fight for an hour but they won’t move an inch.

Investigators – they are sometimes……no many times headache. These people start questioning as if they are investigating you. For example here I go…. Hi where you wll get down? Do you catch this train every day? Which train you catch in the evening? Where are you from? Where do you work? When you have a week off?  From where you bought this?  Bla la bla……. The question needs to be logical or important it’s just their way of passing time.

Sleeping lads– every Mumbaikar has a hectic schedule, so it’s obvious that sometimes we don’t get enough sleep. These people use the travelling time to get a small sleep. If they get to sit then its heaven but even if they don’t they manage to sleep standing too.

Gamers – here they come, PSP lovers. Be it counterstrike, candy crush, Gta vice city, temple run or logo quiz they enjoy gaming to the fullest. One can actually make out what’s going on in game by their facial expressions, which change as if they are living in that game.
